How to use Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules:Use Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.Take Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules by mouth on an empty stomach before eating breakfast.Take Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL).Swallow Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing.You may take antacids while you are using Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules if you are directed to do so by your doctor.You may take a 14-day course of Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules once every 4 months. Do NOT take Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules for longer than 14 days or take more than 1 course every 4 months without first checking with your doctor.If you miss a dose of Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules.Important safety information:Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules may cause drowsiness or dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.Omeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules may take 1 to 4 days to reach its full effect. Do NOT take more than the recommended dose or use for longer than 14 days without checking with your doctor.Check with your doctor if your heartburn does not get better or if it gets worse.
